The seaward face of the Sandlass Beach Club at Highland Beach seen from the road, ca. 1908 — a long low wooden building with a covered veranda wrapping the whole front. A single horse-drawn wagon stands at the pavilion's east end; a small canopy shelter sits at the corner nearest the road. The utility poles and the picket bridge railing at right belong to the wagon-and-pedestrian Shrewsbury crossing to the mainland.
