A colorized reinterpretation of the Sandlass Family Collection print. The pusher biplane's doped cloth reads grey-brown against a pale sky; the passenger sits in a dark suit and the pilot in what appears to be a service tunic with a badge at the breast. The value of the color is in the background: the wooded Highlands ridge comes up green, and on the crest the two towers of the Twin Lights are legible — the north tower octagonal, the south square — with the roofline of the lifesaving station and the standpipe along the ridge beside them. The colorization is a modern editorial pass.
