A color aerial photograph of Highland Beach and the Sandlass Beach Club, ca. 1958 — the same view as the sepia IMG_9404 with richer detail. The Shrewsbury bay at upper left; the cottage colony with red-roofed cottages at upper right; the bathhouse row along Ocean Avenue at center; the family house (future Building 600) at lower left with its picket fence and yard. The Ocean Avenue roadway climbs the frame at right; the rock seawall runs the length of the ocean front at bottom with several groins projecting into the surf; the beach is narrow. The condemnation is four years in the future when this frame is taken.
