Colophon

The method.

A short account of how the work gets made — the part that sits behind the About page.

Sourcing

No date, price, or superlative ships without a primary source or two independent secondary sources. Where sources disagree, we flag the fact in the text rather than smoothing it over, and we say which reading we've taken and why.

The verification register

Every disagreement we find — a contested date, a name spelled three ways, a number two records report differently — is written down and kept. Anything we cannot resolve does not publish. When a reader corrects us, the correction is credited and the register is updated, so the next chapter inherits the fix instead of repeating the mistake.

Colorization

Any colorized image carries a rust "COLORIZED" badge on the frame. The original monochrome is preserved in the archive and linked from the item page. We colorize to invite, not to deceive.

Accessibility

Every image in a chapter has alternative text — the build refuses to publish a scene without it. Every scroll-driven motion has a static, stacked fallback for readers who set prefers-reduced-motion. Every audio piece will have a transcript, server-rendered and searchable.
