Gunnery test report No. 1467, October 1902
1902-10-14
A representative page from the Sandy Hook Proving Ground gunnery test files, held today by the NPS Gateway archives. Ten shots of a 12-inch M1900 rifle, elevation and range recorded for each round, one misfire attributed to a defective primer. The peninsula's job for forty-five years was to fire every new gun the country made and write down what happened.
