Bay Avenue, ca. 1918
ca. 1918
Bay Avenue between Miller and Marine, Highlands
A row of two-story storefronts on Bay Avenue in the second decade of the century — hardware, dry goods, the pharmacy, the tavern, a coffee-and-cake room. Trolley tracks in the middle of the street; hitching posts along the sidewalk. Horse-drawn wagons and, by then, a scatter of Model Ts.
