Monmouth County militia captain, called Jack. Born November 8, 1735; captured at the Toms River blockhouse in March 1782 and hanged on the Highlands shore on April 12, 1782 by Loyalist refugees from Sandy Hook under Richard Lippincott. Buried at Old Tennent Church in Freehold, where his grave has been lost. There is no known likeness of him.
