The sachem named in the only available transcription of the August 8, 1678 Sandy Hook deed, to whom Richard Hartshorne is recorded as paying thirteen shillings. The name is unstable in the record: the Borough of Highlands' own history gives Jawavapon and its own timeline gives Vowavapon. This project has not sighted the original document, and the direction of the grant it records is unresolved.
