Born Florence Crelin. With her husband Jack ran a Newark necktie business before a robbery of the shop turned a bad year into a move to Highlands. Co-founded the Cedar Street boat rental whose chowder service became Bahrs Landing after the couple bought the beached houseboat in 1917.
